  • If you requested pledge envelopes for 2009 they are available in the back of the Church. Please begin using your new envelopes and dispose of any remaining 2008 envelopes because your pledge envelope number changes from one year to the next.
  • There will be an introduction to an Inquirers Class today, January 11th at 11:15 am in the Sacristy. Anyone who is interested in learning more about the Episcopal Church, exploring your faith, being Confirmed or Received by the Bishop in April is encouraged to attend. If you need more information or if you cannot make it please contact Fr. Jeff at 645-8479.
  • SPY meeting in the Conference Room after the 10 am Service today.
  • Please plan to help take down the Christmas decorations in the church at 12 noon today. Your help would be greatly appreciated!
  • Adult Christian Education Class: Cash, Crash and Christ: Christian Opportunity in a time of Economic Crisis. Please join us for simple Soup, Bread and Dessert in the Conference Room from 5:30 to 7:15 pm on Wednesday evenings through February 11th.
  • The ECW will meet Wednesday, 14 January at 10:00 AM. We will have an important critique of December's Soup Luncheon so helpful procedures can be available for next year. The speaker will be Joe McCarron of La Casita, the afterschool program we help support. Everyone is welcome!
  • Seekers and St. Peter's are co-sponsoring a movie in the Parish Hall at 7 pm on Thursday, January 15th. Come and watch "Constantine's Sword", a thought provoking film that explores the relationship of religion and war.
  • There will be a free Public Forum on Women in the Delaware Prison System & Those Who Work With Them on Thurs. January 15th from 10-12 at Epworth Methodist Church. Call 226-5845 for more information.
  • Help the Global Mission Committee welcome Judith Gregory next Sunday, January 18th after the 10 AM Service in the Parish Hall while we share a Potluck meal and talk about mission projects.Judith will share her experiences as well as show us pictures of her work in the Sudan.
  • SPY is selling the BeachORIGINALS' Dining Card for $20 each as a Mission Trip Fundraiser.Ask ayouthto purchase one or they are available in the Church Office. Here are the Details: The Card Expires May 15, 2009. The Card is valid only on specified days. The Card allows a discount on the purchase of a second Entrée of equal or lesser value. The discount is equal to the cost of the lesser or equal valued Entrée, but capped at $15. Up to 2 cards are allowed per table. The Card can be used only once at each participating restaurant. When Card is used, the restaurant will initial and date the line beside the restaurant's info on the card which indicates the card is no longer valid at that restaurant.   • Children's Chapel Chaperones: we are looking for volunteers to be the second adult for the children's service in the Sacristy. The service is at 10 o'clock and takes 20 minutes. If you would like to volunteer please call Roberta Lindsay at 644-4605 or email jblindsay@verizon.net
  • Please call the Church office with names of people who need prayers for healing and support. Names are read during the Prayers of the people for two weeks. Please see the Monthly Newsletter for a more extensive list.
