Welcome to Saint Peter’s Church
in Lewes, Delaware
We welcome you to Saint Peter's Episcopal Church. We are an active community of faith who are intent in putting the Christian experience of God into action by "striving for justice and peace among all people and respecting the dignity of every human being."
The doors of our church are literally open twenty-four hours a day providing a sanctuary in Lewes for spiritual reflection, meditation, prayer or simply a quiet moment away from the hectic world within which we live.
We hope you will enjoy your time here! If you do not have a spiritual home, we invite you to try our Church community.
St. Peter's Church is governed by the Vestry which is composed of 12 members of the congregation who have been elected to serve a three year term. Each member of the Vestry is the liaison for the various committees or ministries to ensure those activities are communicated and coordinated when necessary with the Vestry.
The Junior and Senior Warden are elected by the Vestry and are members of the Vestry. The Senior Warden is typically in her or his last year of their elected term.
